The Hi!ckathon is the first data event set by Hi! Paris, the brand new interdisciplinary center in AI and Data Analytics
Share your bright insights for the future
The Hi!ckathon will give you the opportunity to be part of one founding event for a future worldwide research center in Data and AI
By joining the Hi!ckathon, you will build interdisciplinary teams to broaden your reflection and answer the complex issues you will be facing.
A reflection around environmental issues
The Hi!ckathon will give participants the opportunity to reflect on a key issue for our future : AI for energy efficiency
So come and put your skill in service of a societal and environmental issues related to the use of Data and AI !
An intense 2 days experience
The Hi!ckathon will take place from March 12 evening untill March 14 evening.
Participants will be allowed to gather their teams in one of the many rooms booked for the event across IP Paris partner schools !
Sponsored by major companies
Major companies will enrich the challenge thanks to their expertise : onboarding videos, teams coaching during the event and more importantly : you will work on some issues they’ve been facing
They will also come and reward your work during a special ceremony on March 15
Hi!ckathon key steps
Friday, March 12th
School and corporate representatives will welcome you during this special opening ceremony and officially launch the competition !
After the ceremony, you will start your two days journey through the Hi!ckathon.
Coaches from the sponsors will help you build your innovative solutions.
By the end of the event, you will have built a data science model, a scientific procedure document, and a video of your business project.

After two intensive days, it will be time for you to enjoy your reward and reflect on the strong human experience you have been going through.

The theme : AI for energy efficiency
When it comes to using AI to be more respectful of Environment, one must not forget the whole picture as the extensive use of AI in itself can be harmful.
In that context, the Hi!ckathon will require you to balance performance and energy consumption of your model
AI for Energy efficiency
Recent breakthroughs in AI can be a decisive enabler to allow company to investigate the prospects of more efficient energy consumption : power grid management, energy storage, energy forecasting…
Training AI is an energy intensive process. The carbon footprint of an AI model can rise up to five times the consumption of a car during its lifetime, making it essential to consider a more “Frugal AI”
